i remember playing the mod and it was super good, i haven't encountered any bugs or glitches so idk why people apparently went crazy over some minor stuff. I hope you'll return the downloads or maybe even update it with more stuff
I'm heavily considering completely remaking the mod from scratch. There has been a lot of demand for downloads to be restored which is really surprising to me.
I have become very interested in your mods and was wondering if you would consider restoring some of their downloads. I am sorry if I am bothering you with this comment, and I understand and respect if you do not want to.
My mods are super old and buggy and I get a lot of comments asking for fixes. If multiple people want the download(s) back I can put it/them back up I just feel bad having a public download for an old, buggy, low-quality mod.
I can't express how much that means to me. Seeing comments like this when I'm feeling down makes my day so much better. Thank you. Tell your friend they're awesome.
I truly wish these mods were better made. Hopefully one day I'll be in a situation I can remake them.
Hey, this is a fantastic mod and I love the character, but I'm a little confused on how money comes about. It seems to be rather arbitrary where sometimes I can kill an entire room of baddies and get almost nothing, but then other times I can get a ton of gold from every kill. Also, bigger enemies (as far as I know) don't contain more gold. I killed the Bandit boss and he had NO GOLD on him.
I like the idea of a character who purchases specific upgrades, but this doesn't work very well as the money isn't consistent. With rads you know that all enemies drop them and bigger enemies drop more rads. But with coins, most enemies don't drop coins and bigger enemies may not drop coins. This doesn't seem very balanced and I feel like the coin drop rate just needs to be increased a little or bigger enemies are guaranteed to drop two coins.
To add to that, I think the weapon upgrades need to do a little more. For instance, a normal mutation can give you the ability to heal from killing enemies. That's a big deal. However, I upgraded Knight's sword to the max level and I'm pretty sure it did less than the Energy Sword in terms of damage. It took me part way through a loop to get the Sword fully upgraded but even then it's not as powerful as a weapon that can be found halfway through the pre-loop. For coins to be such a rare thing that are hard to find they need to give the player some bonus that is greater than a mutation that heals, gives you higher ammo, or revives you from the dead. Also, Knight has less HP, so coins need to be REALLY REALLY good in terms of what they can purchase. For example, the sword should probably be able to one hit a snowbot by Level 3 or have a faster swing rate. The reason why Melee weapons can be so effective in NT is because of Trigger Fingers and Long Arms, but without those Melee weapons are fairly useless. This means that Knight's sword needs to compensate not only for its price, the lack of HP, and the lack of coin drops, but also for the lack of Mutation availability that normally makes melee weapons so good.
But again, I love playing as the character but I feel like the coin rate needs to be a little higher for him to work well or his abilities need to be buffed. Great mod.
Coins have a random chance to drop from enemies and props, with nothing having a higher droprate. Coin worth can be increased with the level-up upgrade.
I agree with pretty much everything said in this comment. This was one of my first mods and is frankly not that well-made.
i am so confused when ever i try to load a mod i can never load it even if i do what others say. like with your mod, if i do '/load knight' it wont work
Make sure you did the following: - Ensure NTT is installed correctly. If you launch Nuclear Throne there should be a message at the top of screen something like "Nuclear Throne Together version..." - Take the folder out of the .zip file you downloaded and put it in the mods folder. Do not put the .zip in there, it will not work. - Make sure there's a main.txt inside of the mod's folder. For example, in the "knight" mod folder, there should be a text file called main.txt, or just called "main." The "knight" folder is inside of the "mods" folder. Inside of the "knight" folder is "main.txt". (There's no reason it should be missing, but if it is that likely means it's the wrong folder).
Not very good explaining things, so if you have any questions let me know or double check the NTT FAQ. :P
This is a great mod! i'm new to the NT modding community but i love this character, he feels super unique and is just fun to play, i also like melee items so...
I feel that you should be able to equip a third weapon or the starting gun should stay on the ground after you pick up another weapon because there is no point in picking up another weapon to sell it if you lose the knight gun.
Very interesting mod! Completely changes the way the game is played. I'm enjoying the ability to upgrade my sword, HP, level and am excited to see what mutations I can select to push Knight further. I still haven't figured out why Knight still collects ammo or why there's an option to buy an ammo box however. Perhaps its for co-op purposes? I've yet to try it in co-op with my buddies, but so far so good! Thanks for making this.

Pretty dope mod, is this compatible with NT:TE and Vagabounds?
Probably not, this was made a long time ago.
sad i tried recently and got some errors :(
but this mod is still pretty amazing i have a lot of fun with it
Can't say much that hasn't already been said by Bleepbeep, but I'd like to thank you for making Knight, a friend I play NTT with absolutely loves him.

there's a little button on the shop in the bottom left called "equip gun" use that when you have 1 empty slot and you'll get the knight gun back
Sorry for the late response!
You can read how to install mods here.
TL;DR
After downloading it, you'll need to head to your Nuclear Throne folder.
Then drag and drop the folder inside the file you downloaded into your mods folder.
You need to have Nuclear Throne Together installed for this to work.
When the mod is installed, all you need to do is type '/load knight' in-game.
Have fun! :)
Great mod! What does throne-butt do? Make the shop cheaper? Also does buying weapon upgrades upgrade both or only one?
Throne-butt decreases your current reload time by 50%, and weapon upgrades affect both weapons.
Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! In an upcoming update, ammo and chests will no longer spawn in singleplayer. As of now, buying ammo is just for co-op.
Updated.
